What matters more to the people on this /sci/ board: learning about calculus or physics?

You can do calculus without physics but you can't do physics without calculus

you can't learn physics unless you already know calculus

Physics, fuck calculus.

You can learn Calculus without learning Physics; although you can learn Physics without learning Calculus, the basis will not be the same and your Physics won't be so calculus-based as if you learn Calculus before learning Physics.

Physics matters more. You can learn calculus without physics, but you can't learn physics without calculus. Physics is a more advanced level of learning.

I just read pop-sci books so I can be insufferable around other, and brag about my big brain

challenge accepted.
Edit: Came to the conclusion that the earth is flat

Both really. I do t give a shit about calculus as is but as other anons said, you can’t do physics without it

If by calculus you also refer to analysis. Then calculus, otherwise fuck both.

analysis isnt even used in quantum field theory, you useless fuck.

Quantum mechanics is literally applied functional analysis. You cannot have observables without a proper definition of self-adjointness, and "wavefunctions" (i.e. L^2) literally do not exist without the notion of the Lebesgue integral.
Take your primitive understanding of physics somewhere else.

what ? anything "quantum" is based on functional analysis
