If I'm going into pure math, I don't think I can make that much.
The other thing I'm entertaining is math + computer science.
I could do algorithms, crytography, AI, or theoretical cs. I think that'll lead to a bigger paycheck.

Yeah, but physics degrees aren't ABET accredited, so you can't be certified, and the entire curriculum doesn't teach much engineering principles. Physics is a very broad field, not a professional degree by any means.

And it's actually really hard to worm your way in to engineering jobs with a Physics B.S., it might be possible but it's not something you should count on.
