Poisson distribution is crazy y'all.
Working in a supermarket you really notice how people come in to the store in clumps.

I'm new to statistics.
What is the difference between Poisson distribution and random walk?
0 or 1 random walk can express number of incoming people in each step, can't it?

Poisson distribution is a measure of x errors per y intervals. It has to do with incidence. Random walk a.k.a. Gaussian Distribution/Normal Distribution has to do with x deviations up/down per y interval. It measures deviation, not incidence.
