The set of numbers [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9] and fractions (1/3) predates the number 10

It's rather amazing really because if anyone understand the history of how 0 came about it was literally just a symbol to indicate the start/end of a row.

That whole 0.999... = 1 is the same as saying you can have a row of infinite length, which is when you the measurer have to identify if it is worth logging.
