Why does philosophy make /sci/ seethe?

I can understand why the brainlets who only care about applications of science might not care, but mathematicians and physicists should be well-versed in philosophy.

Tell me to go back to /lit/ if you want, but know that I'm studying pure math and physics at uni.

Real mathematicians and scientists are interested in philosophy.
The majority of the /sci/ posters are not real mathematicians or scientists.
And yes, logical positivism is not true and trivially refuted and logical positivists are low IQ morons.

BUT THEN THE ORIGINAL STATEMENT IS FALSE MEANING THAT THE STATEMENT IS NO LONGER A VALID WAY OF SHOWING THAT THE STATEMENT IS FALSE MEANING THAT IT IS TRUE BUF IF THAT'S THE CASE IT'S FALSE BUT THEN IT'S TRUE BUT THEN IT'S FALSE BUT THEN IT'S TRUE BUT THEN IT'S FALSS BUT THEN IT'S TRUE BUT THEN IT'S FALSE BUT THEN IT'S TRUE BUT THEN IT'S FALSE BUT THEN IT'S TRUE BUT THEN IT'S FALSE BUT THEN IT'S TRUE BUT THEN IT'S FALSE BUT THEN IT'S TRUE BUT THEN IT'S FALSE BUT THEN IT'S TRUE BUT THEN IT'S FALSE BUT THEN IT'S TRUE IT DOESN'T STOP!!!!! Why all /lit/ fags say "I'm not very good at math"? Same thing, really.

Dunno about others on this board but I personally read philosophy now and then, Kant being my favorite.

OP here. You are incredibly based, my friend. Heisenberg himself was a big-time Plato fanboy.

Incredibly based. I'm studying CS in a top ten uni and die inside each time a professor talks about the philosophical implications of a theory and some retard goes "but how is that related to teh applications lolz".

Never claimed that. I just find Kant to be the most clear and concise. A lot of philosophy can end up being very obscurely written (Hegel or Deleuze for instance) which can take away from the text imo. I don't favour any one philosopher dogmatically or anything if that's what you were getting out of my post.
