I would say that fire isn't ionized enough to call it a plasma. Compare it to some microwave plasma, totally different

What you mean to ask is, "What state of matter is flame?" Fire is the reaction that causes flame.

And the correct answer is it's gas. It's not plasma per some popsci fags in this thread. It glows because of temperature and blockbody radiation like anything else.

No, fire is almost entirely hot gas. Some small percentage of it may ionise in a hot flame, but fire is by and large hot gas, not plasma.

wat? Fire perfectly fits into the definition of a gas, and plasma in some cases. Because it's glowing hot psueds lose their minds and think it's some kind of magic.

Flame is the exhaust of fire. Fire is the reaction, flame is one of the outputs. Sometimes the flame or parts of it are hot enough that it is a plasma but usually it's just a gas. The flame is visible because of blackbody radiation.

To learn and improve your knowledge, probably. But you're afraid of going outside your comfort zone, and afraid to experience cognitive dissonance against what you've been taught by institutionalized academia.

There's no need to be afraid. Truth can't hurt you. There's nothing to fear.

This is not entirely correct. You can have very hot (>10,000K) flames that are plasma-like, but a camp fire is primarily just hot gas releasing black body radiation.
