>it's just a flu
There's no reason to believe it can infect the brain directly causing neurological symptoms such as loss of smell, brain swelling, headache, nausea and vomiting.

What are the chances it causes permanent cognitive impairment? and what will that mean if/when 80% of the population becomes infected?

Honestly we just need to accept global collapse is inevitable at this point.

>permanent lung damage
>permanent brain damage
>infertility
>it never actually leaves your body it just maintains at a low level and goes through cycles
>if you get it and 'recover' you could be taken out by a common cold or flu a year from now cause your lungs are so fucked

Between all of that and the economic/political consequences, we are fucked. Best to just accept that now rather than get your hopes up that we can ever go back to anything resembling "normal".
