Why do viruses always start in other animals? What stops them from starting in humans?

Because to other animals defense system it's not virus.

Animals are for the practice.

>> No.11531969

My question is why do viruses harm thier host? It would make more sense if they didn't allowing the host to thrive and thus pass the virus on to others. If the virus kills off all its hosts then it is actually securing its own demise.

viruses confirmed for low iq.

It's not that theres something in humans that prevents it. It's that often times with animal agriculture, the captive animal conditions are atrocious and can cause disease. This is just another zootic disease in the list of many that have occurred this way until now

Most viruses have reservoir host, which they don't hurt at all. Also it's your immune response the thing that hurts you most of the time, not the viruses themselves.

>> No.11531987

I thought it was the immune system overreaction to the virus that kills you. We need to get rid of the immune system, would make transplants easier too.

>> No.11531991

It's the immune system overreacting the problem. Even reservoir hosts have their immune system fight the viruses. I get it you are joking, but if the immune system didn't exist, the viruses would "melt" your entire body through lysis in due time.

This is a thing, but is limited to a few viruses.
The 1918-19 influenza pandemic, that disproportionately killed off the young, is an example.
