Meaning that reality is not as you want, so you had to appeal to a fantasy.

>flu
Influenza is much worse in terms of infections AND deaths.

Epidemiology, meteorology, paleontology, economics, biology, physics, logistics, astronomy, finance, materials science BTFO.

Someone better notify all the universities in the world that statistical modeling is useless. They are all doing it wrong. I see a Nobel Prize in your future tripfag. Your post will be framed and taught in universities from now on. They will make motivational posters out of it.

Models in physics usually are justified by first principles. This is not. This is just somebody’s opinion. If you think biology and physics are comparable in rigor, you are honestly a lost case.

flu is thousands of strains and covid is a couple. and no the death rate is not worse for flu than covid, you complete brainlet. pic related, and korea is one of the countries that has the best handle on this.

models in genetics and biophysics are justified by first principles, the tenants of physiological theory haven’t been disproven by experimental evidence in 2.5 centuries since the dawn of biomedical research

what about string theory models? has no validation meanwhile biological models do. so please piss off.

I never wrote that. I wrote “deaths”, i.e.: in absolute numbers. Learn to read.

>models in genetics and biophysics are justified by first principles
That is just wrong. There is not even a theory in biology that is capable of providing first principles for that to hold. From first principles, everything in the theory follows. One can not predict everything there is to predict in genetics from the few postulates you think that constitute first principles.

you just said deaths, that can be interpreted in multiple ways, you fucking idiot. you never explicitly said absolute, further rates turn to absolutes. it is a much more informative measure.

So far it has a doubling time of 7 days.
You do the math.

Also, it has broken 10k.

It's sitting at nearly 19,000 deaths as of 03/25 04:33 GMT
