Probably the same reason they say recovered for every other single high-profile illness that has appeared. It's the accepted terminology by the medical community. Maybe you should Google the name of every other recent outbreak (H1N1, SARS, MERS, etc) and the word recovery.

Or an even better idea would probably be stop browsing /pol/, getting freaked out by misinformation and fear mongering, then running to /sci/ in hopes someone can calm you down by debunking the same shit over and over.
