He didn't go mad. This book requires very careful study, or else it will sound like gibberish. It should take you a year of daily reading for an hour per day to complete, which is a little more than 1 page per hour. Each sentence requires a few minutes of contemplation.

This book is something else. Somehow makes the "Continental" idea of immanence somewhat analytic - not to be mean to continentals it just seems easier to approach it from that end.

It is hard, and I won't pretend to have absorbed everything in it, but there definitely is something to his view of the world, and efforts to connect science,art,religion, and philosophy
