Why doesn't someone trek across the south pole and prove it once and for all? You'd think someone, at sometime, would have taken a selfie with the south pole by now.

I mean not some asshole at the turn of the 20th century. I mean like numerous assholes throughout time, or a field trip with numerous photos taken with multiple camera phones documenting and tracking the entire journey, not one guy over 100 years ago whom flatearthers could easily just call a liar. More expeditions would be expected by now anyhow.

Flat Earthers will call anything that goes against their views a lie. There could be a live stream of the journey to the south pole, recorded in malicious detail, with as much information crammed into each minute so that it could be verified that it's real, and flat Earthers would still call it fake.

If flat Earthers can be "defeated" using evidence, then there wouldn't be any.
