It feels weird, almost as if women were a rare sight and didn't engage at any significant level. Every time I get into an online community and start making friends I note how there are way more men than women (that's if there's girls in the first place.)

There being 50.8% of women in the planet, why are men a more common sight online?

That could be true, but when I step outside I tend to notice an even distribution of females / males, it's just that girls don't engage online at this level for whatever reason.

The only idea that comes to mind relies on the assumption that women are vapid beings, which I don't know if it's true, because they have a rather large presence at social media like IG or Twitter, but nowhere to be seen around more niche communities.

Girls don't really use computers, mostly phones to look at Facebook/twitter/insta and plebbit. Some use YouTube none use Wikipedia. Girls are vapid topical whores, frame it in that lense and it will all make sense. But yeah, every woman I've ever known uses social media. Every woman I've ever dated was obsessed over impressing their friends. To the point they cared more about posting photos of activities than the activities themselves.
As a result I'm convinced women live for attention literally nothing else motivates them. Also note, they don't want money or power, just look how bad women are with either of those things but rather the social validation it brings them.

no, check out make up youtube channel communites or twitter. Twitter is a bunch of women complaining about the economy, and gays and blacks join in to talk shit about the economy. Twitter is annoying because absolute retards w/ no idea how the economy works will tweet LITERALLY 10,000 posts about how the economy is wrong and communism is correct, men are evil, black power, gay communism is better than straight communism. Straight males do not stay on twitter because of this. Females also used Instagram more. a lot of the girls i went to highschool with model on instagram as a hobby whereas the men do not.
