That isn't good logic.

It should be that, since the world IS infinite, lightnings strikes in the same place at least once, which isn't true, but still.

>> No.1142468

Actually, lightning often strikes the same object twice, for example trees, lightning poles or other tall objects.

Your not doing it right OP. Bring something up about religion or the trustability of scientists.

Say a dart tip is a mathematical point.
The probability of that dart tip hitting any given point on the dart board (fired randomly) = 0. And yet, it hits.

once it has struck every inch of the earth, there will be no more lightning. I hope your happy.

>> No.1142779

Park ranger Roy Sullivan was struck by lightning seven times.

But he was in different places on each occasion.

>> No.1142799

no you all have it wrong!

the lightning is striking the earth UNDER the land.

so if it strikes twice, the first one is to hit the earth that we walk on, and the second one is to hit the earth(dirt) beneath it.

and i could go even further, i strikes individual molecules, and given that the number of molecules that comprise what we define as (dirt) is enormous, we wont be running out of lightning for quite some time.

also, the world is flat and you WILL BE KILL BY DEMONS.

Interesting point you brought up. Extending that, the fact that the Earth is constantly moving in space and that matter on Earth is always switching around, can there truly be any "same" place to strike twice?

>> No.1142837

If /sci/ is so anal about small changes in things like atoms, etc... then no one can ever fuck the same person twice (not that you get any, anyway) nor taste the same flavor twice, nor see the same color twice.

Your shitty definition of same precludes this question even having meaning. I can fuck you up the ass and then claim that I'm simply not the same person who did that, nor are you the same person who it was done to. Perfect defense.

If lightning didn't strike the same place twice lightning rods would be useless.
