Both sides agree on almost all topics. For the points where there are no agreement, it's been shown often that, ironically, it's not the side of the prized scientist who is right. See: muh dark matternergymber.

Science does not "need" philosophy strictly speaking. From an engineering or financial standpoint, for example, the mere findings of some function are sufficient in and of themselves. If one wants to approach some kind of greater understanding, however, it is necessary.

Philosophy is a word that comes from the Greek word philosophia which means love of wisdom.
In English the meaning warped a bit and it is now: "the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence, especially when considered as an academic discipline" t. Google.
The scientific method is a way to study nature.
Science is philosophy.
One search on Google tells you this.

Sure, but connotation =/= denotation.
People actually talk about philosophy principally as the study of life-perspectives/world-perspectives.
e.g. "My personal philosophy" or "The philosophy of xyz"

You are right on the grounds of pure definition, but that doesn't get at the spirit of OP's q

Both are emergent aspects of the natural world. So yes. Science and philosophy are subsets of eacheither.

Yes, there is always a portion of the audience that is always dissatisfied with the presentation for their own reasons of not feeling like they've pandered to enough and cry like children because they aren't being handfed or intellectually-led.
