Do you really think the answer to creating sustainable energy is by creating super expensive, super hot and dense plasmas?
Personally, I think there is a trick out there in materials science. Maybe its element 115.
Anyway, never teach k-12. It will turn you into a substance abuser from the unbearable burden on your social and and empathetic capacity. Teaching is for aspiring coaches not aspiring scientists.

the energy gain from fusion is fucking insane. Unfortunately, the best way to harness it might be to just use the giant fusion reactor in the sky 8 light minutes away

why the fuck would you want to babysit adults whose parents failed them? i mean shit, it's 1 thing to babysit k-12 liek OP stated but holy fuck, having to bear witness to adult children with no fucking perception of reality? fuck that

>Why
Get paid to do relatively little work. As a math teacher I don't think I'd have to do much babysitting

Teaching Uni may seem enticing. But what really satisfies is exchanging ideas with equally qualified enthusiasts. However, many scientists just consider it a job.

What made you think that teaching was a good idea when you are a clearly autistic and obsessive compulsive king, not a nursemaid?

I have a regressive love for the fundamentals and thought it would be rewarding to share it with teenagers. There is no reward. With my tail between my legs I applied for PhD programs. I don't even want to T.A. for undergrad labs anymore.

I'm doing my PhD is [insert memeiest organic chemistry topic] chemistry and I love teaching, actively attend teaching seminars and open myself up to learn from everyone else. I do so well at undergraduate teaching that my professor delegates his classes to me, the students like my style, and I even get an extra stipend from random funding because my professor is happy to teach less and have the availability for travel/research etc. and I get a free pass most of the time, with respect to my research duties.

If you truly want to teach then consider attending courses to become a better educator. If you hold the belief that you're there simply to babysit students, then 1) you're not cut out for teaching, 2) you have crappy demeanor and/or shitty interpersonal skills and 3) take yourself too seriously. In other words lol ur a faggot

You can improve on all your deficiencies by actively learning from other people (i.e. students, other professors, colleagues, special courses).

Good luck
