You faggots don't know what it's like having a 4.0 CS GPA three semesters in.

You've done no less than perfect on all the weed-outs and others considered impossible to ace. An A- in ANY CS class is pretty much the same as a D at this point. You're already the only one in the fucking school who still has a 4.0; YOU CANNOT WASTE THIS OPPORTUNITY.

Just a 3.99 is a world of difference. It's virtually vs literally perfect.

and nobody will ever actually care and you will regret all this stress. enjoy your damn life

You are utterly wrong. This post shows just how profoundly misinformed you are.

Grad schools do not give a shit if your GPA is 4.0 or 3.9 or even 3.6. I've seen schools who accept as low as 3.3. Grad schools care about your ability to do research. Get published or work with professors, stop stressing over your GPA.

No, that's different. Undergraduate admissions absolutely do care about SAT scores. For many schools if you don't meet a certain threshold you're automatically rejected. Grad school is different, because doing a PhD program is essentially signing your life away to 5-6 years of research. Grad schools pay you to do a PhD (for STEM at least), so they want to make sure you know what you're doing.

It's always better to put more work into connections and relevant work rather than perfect grades. If you can achieve both, that's of course great, but getting absolutely perfect grades shouldn't be your top priority.

you know what you need to do
at the end of every semester, you are going to need to hang weights on your balls, and the mass needs to increase by 1 kg per 0.03 GPA units your current GPA is below 4.0.

Bong here
wtf even is a GPA?
At university here things are all done by % marks, with classifications from first to third class corresponding to a certain % (first = 70 %, 2-1 = 60 %, 2-2 = 50 %, third = 40 %). Do they have that in the US or is it just "GPA"?
