What is the value of art in science?
Accurate technical drawings were essential prior to the camera.
But beyond the pragmatic is there a deeper contribution? many scientists have used art to express what they didn't feel they could put into words or as ways to convey the importance of their findings, statistics and presentaion sometimes feel like an art form.
