How do you give someone an idea that makes the most connections in someone’s brain. “Lights their brain up most” so to speak.

Usually, I find that people "light up" whenever you help them make some connection that they didn't notice before.

According to some teaching theories, give them the tools to 'discover' it for themselves, to work out a problem, rather than just giving them the knowledge. But then, I also saw research that said that people of a certain generation (old fucks like me) were spoon-fed knowledge at school and don't like person-centered teaching styles. True for me.

But also, get them to experience the idea in as many forms as possible. The distinctions of 'learning styles' seem to have been discredited (I always thought they were bs), but repetition in different modes seems to work.

You think? Not in my field, it's too easy to go off at a tangent. I like my students to be sure of what we are talking about. It's nice when they get the lightbulb moments, but that is based on a lot of input first.

So you mean stabilized synchronization periods allow for smoother integration for the whole?

Would you consider teaching mostly just teaching patience and methods of bringing the scope of the group's problem into view? This is the primary concern of any translator btw.
