As a mathematician, he was average at best, only publishing a few papers in a very niche topic, again like any other. As for his book, it's mostly rhetoric that vaguely sounds like it describes our postmodern world, with its postmodern identity politics and neoliberal economics -- there are far better authors describing all of those phenomena and I'm not going to shill for any of them.
