OTOH the modern scientific method, as opposed to the 1700's type Francis Bacon crap, relies a lot on thinking about mathematical models and their internal consistency, which is the bread and butter of what string theorists do

okay, hook a photomultiplier tube up to an oscilloscope and then shine a light into it through an attenuator. with enough attenuation you will start seeing discrete pulses rather than continuous noise. you just need a very dark room and a very good oscilloscope. this is something most anons here could do if they had the right equipment.

historically there are many many other experiments that happened before that kind of equipment (gigahertz/terahertz oscilloscopes) existed, so it is easy to pick on older experiments where the interpretation is not so clear, but they too reached the same obvious conclusion

what i mean is that you are wrong about your wave theory explaining why photomultipliers see pulses in the experiment i outlined. in my experiment you pass a light through an attenuator and you see nice pulses from photons at the right attenuation. if you are arguing that you explain this by "wave packets" then it doesn't work out if you try the experiment, because wave packets would 1) mutually interfere before the attenuator, spreading them out into continuous waves which wouldn't be spiky and 2) they would still partially pass through the attenuator in a continuous way.

the experiment i said about a light passing through the attenuator is obvious indication of quantization and your (whacko) alternative theories are a bunch of piling up vocabulary you don't understand to give the impression of something way overly complicated which violates occam's razor. also there are many other experiments and your idea is ruled out in all of them too, so please, just go back to humping kangaroos or whatever else you do in australia
