Some people naturally feel things more deeply. I think it's just something you're born with.

But that isn't the same as comprehending emotions and the logic behind them (I say logic recognizing irrational logic is still a form of logic) nor is it the same as empathy. These 2 can be learned and improved upon, but don't ask me how. No clue. I just know it can be done.

Emotional IQ is just your ability to accurately stereotype people and guess what things they will sperg out over.
Part of it is also about being able map out a person's sperg zone in real time through interaction.
Emotional IQ is about predicting where people's sperg zone is but it is not equivalent to catering to their 'tism-tantrums.

Of course, it takes some intelligence to 'read the room', but going out of your way to make every 'feel ok' is just nonsensical placating behavior and especially so in situations of disagreement. I always get INT-. J and P are little less reliable. But that's just my experience.

The thing is, while some people are pure extroverts and some are pure introverts, vast majority of people is somewhere in the middle in accordance with Gaussian distribution and it changes with mood, situation, surroundings etc.
So if you are around 50% on the scale between I and E, of course your type will oscillate between the two if you take the test after some time when the deviation is around 10%.

It's a simple metric and people are complex.
You can't expect it to 100% accurately describe personality with 4 binary parameters. That's like expecting people to do a photorealistic drawing with 4 crayons. However, you can still do a decent enough rough sketch.

Its irrelevant if you are seeking status or wealth in this society, having a high eq means you will be better at maintaining stable interpersonal relationships. It seems counter-intuitive,but having high emotional intelligence doesn't necessarily translate to good social skills, typically the most shallow and vapid people are the ones that have the most social capital because this society has been socially engineered to place a higher value on superficial traits like social conformity and sycophantism. The social strata is structured in a way so that people who are more socialized re-enforce social norms and are better able to prosper in corporate environments and climb the socio/economic ladder.
