How do you guys cope with this ?

I noticed that this is usually a huge cope by the pure math fags that aren’t as smart as they think they are. It’s ok anon, not everyone can be good at pattern recognition.

Well, that's better than dealing with a teacher who expects people to know shady less known theorems that mainstream textbooks on calculus wont cover.

Sure because what is really enjoying is watching the whole lecture, understand everything, go to the exercises and the first one is already different from what was shown in the lecture. The formula does not work. The next is ok. Number 3 only works halfway so you can't complete it. And this repeats to all 10, 20, 30 questions. In the end you were only able to solve 30% of the exercises, yea, that is great being shown only half of the possibilities in the lecture.

You might think that, but you're wrong. The goal of these exercises is to make you sharp and catty. When you see all these exercises, you should eventually become so fast at solving them that you can do most of it in your head. Thus you think a lot but write very little, and you breeze through the HW.

Repetition is important for discipline and willpower which is important in that it allows you to not be a slave to habits but to change them at will.

Math teachers did it so much they barely need the formula anymore, they almost just autosolve in their brain.
