Well, what we usually understand by philosophy is an the study of areas such as metaphysics/ontology, epistemology ethics aesthetics and all of that. Philosophy used to be taken literally as love of knowledge of any kind. So it's retarded to use the term in an antiquated sense when the question of science and philosophy comes is in relation to our modern conception of the term. Yes philosophy is deeply concerned with the fundamental methodologies of science, but the fundamentals aren't the whole field. That's like saying math is a part of logic cause it's structure of thought is a type of logic. Math is much more than that and logicists are fags who already got btfoed by tarski and goedel.
