False. Space isn't a vacuum. There's no air in space, of course, and in /that/ sense it's a "vacuum" -- but other than that, nope. Until about 100 years ago space was thought to be empty. The words “vacuum” and “emptiness” were used interchangeably. But probes have found that space contains atoms, dust, ions, and electrons. Although the density of matter in space is very low, it's not zero. Therefore, space isn't a vacuum in the conventional sense of there being “nothing there at all”. For example, the Solar “wind” is known to be a flow of charged electric particles coming from the Sun and sweeping round the Earth, ultimately causing visible effects like the Northern (and Southern) Lights. The dust particles in space are thought to be 2 to 200 nanometers in size, and many of them are also electrically charged, along with the ions and electrons. This mixture of neutral and charged matter is called plasma, and it's suffused with electromagnetic fields. The “empty” spaces between planets or stars or galaxies are very different from what astronomers assumed in the earlier part of the 20th century.

Yes, heat transfer to and from earth is radiative. But how that heat diffuses around the earth is dependent on nonlinear fluid flow. Climate modelers run simulations which account for both radiative heat transfer in and how fluid takes that heat and moves it. Terence Tao has proven that averaged 3d navier stokes can blow up in finite time despite being smooth. A finer scale of understanding is needed to solve for turbulent flows. It could very well be that all the heat produced via climate change flows into the ocean slow enough that the ocean can sink it. We don't really have the ability to make large scale climate predictions until we solve turbulence.
