I spoke with a professor today who offered to mentor me in pursuing some undergraduate research with CRISPR technology. I know what I'm going to be focusing on but realize I'm 12 days away from the research proposal submission deadline, to get money to start it over the summer.

What do? How screwed am I?

Why are you writing this yourself when you clearly have no clue what you're going to be doing?

Sit down with the grad student you're going to be working with, some up with a proposal based on one of his current projects (it doesn't matter if you actually do that particular one) and bang out the proposal in an hour.
