hey /sci/ I love math but I would like to have some inspirational tools... I can think of numberphile or 3b1b

Any other suggestions?

>> No.11353485

They're not though.
Read 'A mind for numbers' by Barbara Oakley. It's the first book I was recommended to read on this board, and boy is it phenomenal.

My brain is hard wired for math and engineering. I’m a white man which is the kind who pioneered analysis and engineering.

I'm going to give it to you straight. You don't love math then. If it's a motivation problem, then fix your loop.

Obviously some talented people exist, for the vast majority though, I think the teaching is all wrong / either teacher not good enough or student not ready. By the time their IQ is crystallized for many its too late to learn to think properly

op here

i did have shitty teachers... i've mostly learned by myself

There is no “loving” math. Even Erdos was a drug addict with no family.
