I have a question for you, /sci/. Imagine that, out of the blue, a genetic engineering kit popped out of a rift in space and time, fully stocked with gene manipulation nanotechnology and other cool stuff from centuries in the future, stuff that makes CRISPR look like a DNA molecule LEGO model, what would you do with it in order to better the world, particularly improvements to humanity’s physiology (and NO, wiping mankind out isn’t a good answer, and no mind control or mental alteration pheromones or anything, please.)?

Hard mode: the changes have to be undetectable to a casual observer.

What about cat girls with large breasts that don’t sag?

Cancer resistance.
Extended lifespans.
Increased durability.
Stronger muscles.
Resistance to Skeletal-muscular atrophy.
Greater proportional variance in height -- very tall people as well as very short people. Notice I said proportional -- of which disgustingly lanky basketball players are not.
Radiation immunity.
Increased memory recall and storage.
Increased general intelligence.
Rework the ocular-neuro system to improve efficiency and process visions faster.

That's about it. Maybe some other unique stuff for surviving extragaia.

How would you keep them from sagging?

I would destroy it. The consequences of genetic engineering would be a disaster for the human race. Read paragraphs 123 and 124 of Industrial Society and its Future by Dr. Ted Kaczynski.

Im sure we could find a way to pack more dendrites into the average human brain.
Also idk about cancer and diabetes and whatnot. Sure we can make dna strands more robust, but if you're gonna fuck up your bodies mineral balances, all we can do is delay the inevitable. It's like adding more traffic lanes. It only eases things if no more people get on the road. But people don't work that way.
Also better muscle tones, wider hipped women (and men, cause why not, who doesn't like a good butt), better and more consistent fat distribution. A little extra hormone should help with this. This may require a change in diet. More brain and more muscle with less fat stores means more energy needed.

That's all I'd want. Smarter and better looking. We can stop mutations/deformities in the womb as is, we just don't because it's more ethical to put someone through a lifetime of missed opportunity than make someone decide yes or no.

So what are we thinking anyway? Crispr style nanobots in the water supply? Non replicating of course.
