No one, that's the fucking point. US didn't apply economic pressure to China. US instead gave China incentives because we thought it would allow China to liberalize. Too bad, it made it worse. We took the opposite approach to India by applying economic and military pressure to them. We only eased up on India in mid 2000s because we needed their help with war on terrorism. 1)statistics. They have 1/5 of all the people in the world, naturally theres a tendency for most of the bell curve, good or bad, to be there.
