What havoc does sugar wreak on the human body? How bad is it really? Is it kinda-sorta bad or like real BAD bad?

>> No.11267552

Fructose affects leptin levels and the urge to gluttony, fruit is similar.

idk it's an addiction that can lead to diabetic type stuff. i myself have been toying with diabetic nerve pain for a while. but liek anything else, your behavior and eating habits matter. You can heal almost anything with patience, stretching, moderate exercise, fasting, healthy eating. And still have your sugar if you want it.

It isn't bad, the reason is something else, a missing micronutrient, or something like that. (Many metals are known to do SOMETHING, but are completely underresearched) In fact when you start getting most of your calories from pure sugar and little else, you will start losing weight extremely rapidly.

Fructose depletes copper, so if you are copper deficoent, eating fructose can male it worse. Otherwise it's completely harmless and nevessary, the body can even synthesize it when needed

do you ever wonder if you've killed any of the literal brainlets that read the nutrition threads on here over the years? I fully support investigating the role of metals in maintenance and metabolic pathways i'm just curious if you've considered it.

not that bad then

No idea what you mean. It's a fact supported by research, though not extremely well in humans. Why and how would I kill anybody? You cannot kill yourself with copper, even if it made somebody eat copper without any research, and it wouldnt be my fault even if they could. Coppers toxicity is a myth, animal feeds used amounts upto 250mg/kg before the EU set the limits. I have personally took massive doses of it and can confirm it indeed isn't toxic.

In fact my hearing and sight dramatically improved, so I keep taking it. Human RDIs are obviously in error, the actual requirement must be at least an order of magnitude above the current RDI.

copper toxicity is mostly sheep and it varies between breeds
most evolved on low availability pastures and don't tolerate high amounts they can die from it,
Texels are comparatively tolerant

In modern concentrations and quantity, sugar can easily be terrible for you. Drinking a soda, for instance, is an absolute bomb to the blood glucose that hardly any human, besides an ultramarathon runner, could reasonably metabolize. If you stop eating sugary foods for about a week, your taste will adapt and get more of an idea of what foods may be overly sweet.
