Why the fuck would they need you to tell your sex ? If they can sequence your genome, they can probably look at your chromosomes with a microscope, right ?

>> No.11259605

>>11259551
I don't think they are guessing. They don't tell you your ethnicity they tell you about all the parts.

They only sequence part of the genome

this

I wonder why Americans are the only country to refer to themselves by their heritage instead of the place where they're born. Maybe that's why it lacks nationalism

>americans are the only country
America is the only *continent* where people refer to themselves by their heritage instead of the place where they're born.

do South Americans and Canadians do this as well?

Wouldn't know.
>south americans
Yes.
At some point in time, south brazil mugged Germany and got away with all of its national pride. My grandfather is literally perfectly aware that he's a descendent of frenchmen that immigrated to Germany before coming here, but he still LARPs as german sometimes. It's genuinely beyond belief.

You’d probably also be stupid enough to send your fingerprints to a company if they charged you $60 for a palm reading or some other worthless shit.

>> No.11262757

Why would that be a problem? Are you some kind of criminal sack of shit?

You seem to be ignoring the fact that the government is the original bad guy. You see, since government is made up of people, and people are idiots, and idiots do wrong things, then the government does wrong things. You cannot trust them, except to eventually do the wrong thing in any given situation. Why would you give them your fingerprints when there is a non-zero chance of them mistakenly charging you with a crime? You might say you're not giving the government your fingerprints or dna, you're giving a company those things, but that's even worse in a way. Even ignoring incestuous business/government relations as well as spying laws, any given biometrics company is basically legally required to steal/patent any information they can get their hands on to increase their stopckholders' share price. You're arguing on the side of the bad guys here.

If you ever travelled internationally you gave governments you fingerprint.
If you have national documentation you gave governments your fingerprint.
If you have registration in a gym, office, or anything that uses digital fingerprint to allow your entrance, you have given private companies AND the government your fingerprint.
Just to remind you
