There are so many problems with the universe being infinite.
1. infinite copies of you
2. infinite spacetime indicates there is no upper limit to the entropy of the universe so any state you find the universe in still is infinitely less entropic than it could be. Thus no heat death, paradoxically.
3. black holes have no-where to punch through to form a wormhole in a flat spacetime. thus no interstellar travel.

Maybe if you assume mass distribution to be random, an infinite universe means infinite tries for mass to be allocated in precisely the same structure as any one person. Basically there would be infinite earth-likes and among them, infinite carbon copies of our earth, and on them, infinite copies of you. But of course the probability of looking at any region of space and finding any of these copies would be astronomically zing low. I really don't know what the actual argument is, just imagining it. And we really don't know if mass distribution is random either, do we?
