Stopping isn't the answer, you just need a short, medium and long term plan you take action to achieve while "thinking" less.

>> No.11233131

never stop, consider all points of view, all possibilities, you'll see eventually that thinking is the only important thing

You can't. Just try to structure your thoughts inside of letting it go all crazy.

Meditation. Get a hobby any hobby then progress to just a physical goal a week. The thinking habits often come from fear of failure while giving you a sense of control or fulfillment this can also develop because a dream you thought you had attained was ripped from you from sort of unseen circumstance.

lifting weights, running does it for me (if you're not fit, i suggest jumping rope to get started)

find a creative outlet to express and share ideas

nothing quashes an idea faster than someone telling you it's complete shit.
But if you truly are a fountain of original thought then just stick with it. Statistically one of your ideas will be good. And if you're smart you'll actually learn from feedback people give you and get better.

>> No.11233274

By "doing". Get your attention away from your inside and get it on the outside. Make activities that force u to be in the moment, like intense social events or sports. Train your attention span and control by reading and meditating. Understand that thinking too much leads to unhappiness.

i daydreamed a lot, for as long as i can remember. easy escapism, but it's getting harder to come up with daydreams that are both pleasant and credible.

unironically me. I HATE reading topics that conflict with what I know, so I just stopped reading them. It's fun just repeating the stuff I already believe is true constantly in a loop and being smug believing that I'm better than the rest. It's what keeps me coping as a wage cuck.

Study Eckhart Tolle's teachings. I own two of his books, The Power of Now and A New Earth. In his system the "ego" is when you're identified with thought and emotion. I've been practicing feeling the presence behind thoughts and emotions, and when I notice myself overthinking I tell myself "Ah, so you're going over your 'ilfe story' again, aren't you?"

If you are a "thinker" then maybe you should learn how to be yourself better instead of being something you aren't. Apply your thoughts.

>> No.11234085

Analyze the voice in your head. What are its motives? What patterns emerge? What "tone of voice" does it use? Familiarize yourself with it and it will begin to lose power over you. Remember, most people don't think. They are controlled by their thoughts, thinking is forced onto them.

It usually helps to just stop feeding the thoughts. The thoughts will stilm come, but as long as don't engage them, they'll eventually disappear.

August 4, 1889 was the only date in history on which is was possible give a valid set of axioms regarding what real numbers are and what are their operations. If your axioms didn't get written down on that day, they are wrong because only axioms from that day can be valid.
