That image makes me madder than it should, the bomb doesn't "create a vacuum" and shrapnel isn't "sucked back".
It's a solid rapidly changing to a hot gas that displaces the air and when those gasses cool the pressue drops in the area they have filled.

Explosives aren't hard to understand so how do so many people get it so wrong?
