how would a universe with flat curvature even exist? If gravity and matter have to balance each other out then spacetime must fold in on itself at t=0 and should therefore have a positive curvature as time passes. Why is it that we still believe in a a zero curvature? I know that the planck measurements are indicating towards a flat universe but that can just be error on our part. A zero curvature universe means that matter dark energy has always existed in excess to the amount of gravity holding matter at the singularity which would explain why the universe banged yet fails to explain why did it begin in such a tiny amount in the first place. Did someone just turn on the dark energy switch at t=0? Even if they did, I don't see why the universe could be flat unless dark energy was infinitely stronger than gravity which it isn't apparently.

The universe is closed and a torus. We live in a invited which is dominated by electricity and electric current. Look up Immanuel Valikovsky

no, flatness just means the total density parameter is 1, this could all come from mass with zero dark energy
>Did someone just turn on the dark energy switch at t=0?
everything turned on at t=0
>I don't see why the universe could be flat unless dark energy was infinitely stronger than gravity which it isn't apparently.
Dark energy is just the energy density of empty space

if an object falling into a black hole appears frozen in time at the event horizon from our point of view, but black holes can grow over time, wouldn't the object appear to be consumed by the black hole?

>imagine thinking that global topology of the universe must be determined by its matter content, just because locally matter curves spacetime

Total brainletism. Universe is infinite, globally has zero curvature, with some local gravity fields caused by local matter which are pretty much irrelevant to its global shape.
