Algebra feels fucking awesome. Analysis looks fucking boring. I'm just a fucking undergrad, but appearances are often misleading... are they not? Does Analysis ever get better? Does Algebra ever stop getting better? Does Algebra ever get worse?

Also this book is the only geometry I've ever studied, years ago, and I'm entirely self taught. Should I fear the modern treatment of geometry? Did they fuck it up or is it still fun?

I'm convinced there is no reason to study any kind of analysis past low-level graduate stuff. Realistically speaking, you're never going to find the next best least upper bound, proving the incredible hypothesis. This is pretty much proven in mathematical logic.

Functional analysis is what really hooked me into math.
I don't have much experience with algebra besides the basics and Lie theory, where a lot of that stuff is understood from a topological viewpoint. Oh also algebraic topology. Topology is fun and the algebra I learned to understand topology is also fun. But I can't speak on broader aspects of algebra.
Differential geometry can be either really awesome because you look at it through topological and algebraic lenses, or a fucking nightmare because you have to explicitly write out chart maps and tensor field components.
