Philosophically, there must be something in order to perceive itself. Why is there not nothing instead of something? Something must be, this is something.
More scientifically if there were variables along the natural constants of physics, and universes were generated with fluctuation along these variables, most all of these universes created would be unstable, if not able to hold life, then unable to exist in logical coherence.

I disagree with on small detail, there is a "point". Reality is an experience engine.
