The lexapro has helped a lot. Luckily my psychosis is limited and not regular at this point, but that may get worse. I used to be on sertraline instead but that made me feel blunted and neutral all the time, no highs no lows. But yeah, I think at this point its necessary. I don't think it's just the stress of school either, I think it's just a problem I'll have to deal with well after I'm done with school.

No medications. I also abstain from most drugs (except for maybe a little bit of caffeine in tea, no alcohol or pot though).

Doesn't really help that I have nothing to deal with MY ANXIETY SHOOTING THROUGH THE FUCKING ROOF IN DECEMBER. But then I'd just give myself anxiety worrying about the fact that I'm taking drugs to ignore my body telling me there's a fucking problem.

I am trying to transfer out of community College for biology, and I have a lot of trouble focusing it was diagnosed as “pseudo dementia” caused by depression.

I tried methylphenidate but it causes shortness of breath at low doses, bupropion has unnoticeable effects.

Pramipexole seems to change my personality in a way I cannot describe.

I had my first visual hallucination of my entire life when I took a high dose of pramipexole 2.5mg/day.

I first jerked off and it caused intense chest pain and shortness of breath I had chest pain for hours following. Then I hallucinated and I thought I saw my cat in the hallway then I started searching for my cat which I had just seen walking about. My cat was sleeping in a closed room so I realized it must have been a hallucination

Also, the lack of hunger or thirst led to malnutrition in my developmental years, so I'm only 5'11" despite a 6'2" father. Now that I'm on Adderall, that lack of hunger or thirst has come back, but I can actually feel the good effects now, so it's all cool. I just need to force myself to eat and drink.

On Minocycline for acne, derm recently recommended changing to Bactrim DS so starting that soon. She suggested accutane as well but I'm too much of a pussy even though I've had mild acne for years. It's never been bad enough for me to want to risk awful side effects but it's becoming more tempting. I just don't think having someone say "I don't think it gives you depression" when talking about it is a good sign.

Narrowband UV-B is better for acne than any antibiotic, especially if they are losing their efficacy to the point where you need to switch to fucking Bactrim. Go see some other dermatologist and discuss this as a treatment option, which is covered by most insurances, especially if doxy/mino have failed. The one you are dealing with is a hack. Why would a nuclear engineering PhD student be on such a low IQ drug. You even say "meh", as if you are underwhelmed. Why not go for the more efficacious Parnate or EMSAM? You surely are intelligent enough to adhere to the dietary guidelines, and memorize its, then be leery of, existing contraindications. I find it peculiar that someone such as yourself would not research these drugs in depth, learning all you can about them from their mechanism of action, to chemical class, to research and uses. The only logical explanation that suffices, assuming you are somewhat brilliant, is that someone else initiated treatment early on, say teenage years and you just do not like to think about it.

B.S. in Physics and Neurobiology. Currently in a PhD Neuroscience program. I'm prescribed temazepam for insomnia, but I mostly just take it because it feels good. Been off of the SSRIs for a while, I don't like how my mind feels on them. I went through about 5 different types of sleeping pills before temazepam, and none of them really worked all that well so I figured I'd just stick with the one that gave me a nice high.

I am a mathematician that used to be hooked on drugs, specifically alcohol and methamphetamine or cocaine, whichever.

I derived a lot of theorems and proved them myself long before I would ever read them.

Anyways, it got to the point that I got obsessed with math to an unhealthy degree. I stayed up for six days solving a single math problem. I am trying to remember the problem now. It was for a math competition, and yes, I won.

Anyways, drugs and science don't mix in the long run. A little alcohol every night or a blunt of pot a day isn't gonna kill you either though.
