When does college math start getting hard? literally sleeping through calc 3 right now

>> No.11158075

>>11158068
Differential equations or topology.
Also, remember that it doesn't matter if you're acing all the tests if you can't prove / don't understand the theorems (particularly relevant for diff eqs)

Might be because you're in a shitty program

lmao, not even pde was that hard of a class, although math students who'd never taken a physics course got destroyed at the beginning when deriving the wave into a membrane

You're either a genius or a brainlet.

Discrete math was hard, but that was likely due to the prof

Calc 3 is the easiest calculus lmao.

-Differential Equations
-Second half of applied analysis
-Applied analysis 2
- Math Phys
-Numerical analysis I think is challenging, or so I've heard.

Still got ways to go

If you want a real challenge

Don't turn up to any lectures
Don't do any non-mandatory homework
Turn up to the exam with no revision or practice or even looking at the material

Enjoy

Are you taking proofs-based Calc 3 or Retard-Unbased "Calc 3"?

Once you realize that 99.999...% of math is unsolvable without a numerical method, and of the ....00...1% of math that can be solved symbolically, 99.999...% of that is better to solve numerically anyways. That's when you decide to start studying numerical analysis and it becomes very hard to not claw your eyes out from boredom of writing tedious programs in math software and plugging numbers into your calculator over and over again.

lol you should be taking analysis and rigorously proving everything from calc 3 in higher dimensions
