I like the cognitive science research on sensory perception doesn't seem as if its as laden with bullshit as social psychology or psychoanalysis and they appear to show more comfort with the intrusion of neuroscience into their area of interest

Jung>>>Freud.

The idea of unconscious and 95% of Freuds original thoughts were created with Jung.
Carl Jung found philosophical archetypes throughout religion and related the value systems/morality of their religion to their society.
That is true philosophy. A lot of Jung reminds me of Nietzche genealogy of morality. Jung describes the process of individualization and works it in perfectly.
That can't be said for Freudian dream science, at ALL.

Freud made hypothesis with pretty much zero backing. That's why his fucking repressed memory shit is so controversial. I suffer from trauma and repressed memories, Freud has them totally wrong.

Peterson acknowledges what Freud got right, but 95% of what freud got right was pre-established or created alongside Jung.
I'm not even saying jung is better than Freud for anti-Semetic reasons (although it does seem to follow that pattern), Jung really just made much better work.

Really, Jung pioneered sociology through his religious research, along with Nietzche. Most people are actual too stupid to understand how one can understand the individual/history through the lens sociological analysis on old religions and symbolism.

I would say that really Nietzche, Hegel (he is garbage though) and Schopenhaur really created modern psychology. I will say Jung continued their work, while Freud did not really do too much beyond summarizing Schopenhauer and Nietzche.

People have opinions on Nietzche, aswell, because they haven't actually read his work. Philosophy is easy to pretend you know about, that's the problem. That's why liberal arts is so dumb.
A class I never studied for and got a 105% in. Yeah that makes sense.

One of the most influential and important modern psychologists is Steven C. Hayes.

Founder of relational frame theory (RFT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

They go hand-in-hand with one another but are used for different purposes.

RFT training has been shown time and time again to improve general mental ability in different populations. Relational skills ability is even good enough to be a proxy measurement of IQ.

ACT is a proven, evidence-based therapy and way of living.
