As a non-premed chemistry major, here is a list of reasons I hate pre-meds:


Making chemistry professors dead inside


Having no idea what they are doing in organic lab


constantly saying "OCHEM URGHHHHH I HATE ORGO UGHHHHHH"


taking all the research spots and not appreciating them as much as a chem major would


acting really fake when asking professors for research. We can all tell you just want to impress medical school admissions and you actually hate chemistry.


skipping class every day, then wondering why they got a 70% on an exam


they just want to get rich and make mom and dad proud and honor the family, they dont really like school, they are only here for a piece of paper and get confused when a kid actually likes chemistry


constantly asking what will be on the exam

i'm in organic lab II and my lab partner annoys the shit out of me. I write 5 page prelabs and make 99s on all of them, while he brings a half assed 1 page. He has no idea what to do in lab. He fucked up this week's lab by throwing away our final product without asking me first, and we weren't able to get a melting point because of that. He's a faggot asian premed, yuck

I really have become racist towards indians and asians. I hate that they have taken over the American education system because their cultural makes them fit to work very hard at things they don't really enjoy.

When a white person excels at a field, you know he really is passionate about it and probably loved it since he was a kid. When an asian excels at a field, he's just studying hard and using self-discipline to make mom and dad proud of him.

I'm a grad student in mol bio research and both my advisors openly make fun of them. They are the worst. Engineering students are next, but pre-meds are and always will be useless GPA hounding egoists. engineers are usually just normies who don't care about anything but money.

Im in engineering because ive loved it since I was a kid.

You don't even need to know what's an amino group for 99% medicine, let alone doing lab work.

On the other hand all the best students in the Chem department end up not being chem majors. I aced every chem class I had to take and spectroscopy was my strong point but when they asked my major it was Biophysics. I'm sure most other students are usually medical. Respect to Chem majors though. I heavily contemplated taking physical chemistry sequence and inorganic but I also didn't want to continue being an undergrad for six years. If I had unlimited funds I'd unironically do a quad degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Math
