M-maybe life-extension will become a thing in our lifetime and we'll all live long enough to see the solar system get colonized.

Anyone else think it's a pipedream we'll manage to colonize other planets? I know given the infinite nature of the universe there simply has to be other planets similar enough to earth for us to live on, but everything is simply too far out to reach, even if we with close to light speed limits. Hell, we don't even have the resources on the planet or the time to create such a thing anyhow. We're going to live and die here and it'll all turn to dust, every idea, every invention, every trace of us. Hell, it probably already happened to other intellegent life ages ago
