okay guys, im not that advanced in physics but i was wondering if it would be possible to use plasma with its superconductive properties to create a weapon that basically shoots ionized gas out with force and simultaniously induces an electric current into the flow of gas to basically act as a futuristic electric gun?

Probably.

Ionized gas is plasma... Wat are you doin?

>> No.1097258

whether its worth the money to get the energy to do that is another problem

>would X be possible
Yes, probably.
>would X be viable
Probably not.

But a gun works just fine.

goddamn the lack of decent energy sources......

mayhaps OP
maybe if one were to ionize gas, and pulse a low inductance solenoid the plasma would move, or more likely the charge would move. Accord to basic EM theory B-field vectors, Velocity, and Q-field vectors have to be perpendicular to each other, so if you can unify the charge to one direction, ie all the electrons one side and all the gas nuclei on the other, and pulse a strong magnetic field, then yeah the charges should fly out in a uniform direction.

your big words confuse my mind....
it hurts to think now.....
