she sucks. i was OK with her book and it’s mild criticisms on strong theory, but since then she ‘s started getting way off the rails and she changed her mind on whether particle accelerators should keep getting built and now wants to just give up on high energy physics, which is just wrong. pic related

To clarify. String cheese wants 100 more years of funding to unify gravity with their theory... meanwhile some asshole came to 4chan, harnessed the hivemind and pounded out the true TOE in approx a week, and now just gives it away for free without his name even attatched, and will be spending those 100 years sleeping with models instead of pan handling for more cheese money

She makes a decent point about some branches of physics being in a terrible state, because there are too many theories, where currently we have no way to conduct experiments, challenging these theories.

She is not the first person to make that observation, but doesn't offer anything new either. What makes her special is that she is very militant about it and tries to rally popular support of her opinion.

Probably got molested by some string theorist.
