If a group of people are less likely to be attractive to a partner, then that group of people are more likely to die out.

STEM majors are less likely to be attractive to a partner, therefore, STEM majors are more likely to die out.

For example if stem becomes necessary for survival in the future then stem majors will return but probably will suffer from a genetic bottleneck because most stem majors will be bred out already.

Maybe celibates only congregate in stem majors because they want to compensate for their lack of business and social skills with science. Stem majors will consist of higher numbers of normies over time. You should see all bio related classes in the third year, they have couples sitting all over the lecture hall so most people there are reproducing. This will increase

It is not just STEM majors, you will find similar negative correlation with income or IQ, both on individual level but also on the level of nations. Turns out it takes harsh environment to both evolve and maintain intelligence. You need dumb people to actually die out and only smarter people to manage to survive. This is no longer true since industrial revolution, and so humanity as a whole is degenerating on average.
