If it was that easy every math major would go into finance. It just doesn't happen.

I did actually get a interview for a finance position. I tried my best and while my math skills where great there was so much finance knowledge that I lacked. It showed how out of touch I was for the field. I didn't get a call back.

I'm basically working harder than a CS fag only to be treated less than them because my four year education adds little value to my resume.

Plus if I get stuck practicing my coding or the algorithms I need to learn I have no one to turn to. Meanwhile the csfag can ask their TA or professor for help. Its not as easy. It's all so tiresome. Okay let's stop and look at this stupid shit.
First do you even know what CS is? Excel is not CS you sound like IT or an administrator. Not CS. How the fuck are you gonna say 'if you want to do CS' when you're not even in software development? Bitch your ""advise"" doesn't apply to actual CS people. The shit you're posting is so dumb I feel you're serious.
Now then, you first spent FOUR YEARS on a math degree and after all of that you got a MINIMUM WAGE job doing menial IT tasks and still after another FOUR YEARS of doing that shit IT job you still get paid MINIMUM WAGE. THAT'S 8 FUCKING YEARS OF YOUR LIFE WASTED.

Holy shit anon what the fuck are you doing? You're clearly not doing CS but you should at least have asked for a fucking raise. Why the fuck did you never ask for one? Jesus Christ man quit that shit and look for a better IT job.

Keep that in mind, you're looking for an IT job not a fucking software engineering job. I can guarantee you software/CS is completely not what you're doing. Someone with a CS degree has a starting salary of $30-$40 per hour. That's way above your minimum wage pay grade. But an IT person which you are has an average pay of around $16-$20 an hour. Not fucking minimum wage.

This is in the US and idk if you live in some European shithole but even then you should be making more. Get your fucking life on track and look for a better job.

No. If they can help, they do not help. If they can't help since it takes too long / is too complex of a question they let you figure it out. It's easier for my experience to get stuck on some math question because there is often one optimal way to solve this, it's mostly about learning rules and applying them correctly. Whereas the rules in programming and such are less obvious.

Someone with a math background would not get priority over someone who studied computer science for a software dev job of any kind. Employers assume superior skills from the person with a CS degree for an IT / CS job.

A math degree does open up doors to be an actuary, or go further into econometric research. Both of which are very high paying career options.
