1) If math was not applicable to real life it would not be as heavily studied.
2) If math made you smater as a person it would be reserved to elite's kept away from middle/lower class plebeians
3) the limited knowledge of math you are allowed to have is only to be a cog in a machine which is built on the belief you're able to add and subtract numbers, at higher levels understand algebra and measure triangles
4) The one subject, which was common among classical schools which is being withheld from modern (free) education is bible study

think what you want.

1) Math is one set of tools to describe the universe.
2) Math is one set of tools to describe the universe
3) You cant add and subtract numbers because numbers don't exist in the first place.
4) "Classical" Refers to greeks. Greeks did not have the bible. Could you be more specific about the time period?

You sound about as free-thinking as someone who subscribes to a pandering pseudo-Marxist "Free Thinker's Digest" magazine and then only gets as far as the index.

It kinda is. IQ accounts for about 33% of success in life, one of the other factors is socioeconomic status.

I agree with >>10849789 that it kinda is, but not by any hiding it or something like that. Any plebian can go to the math library at their local college and lend books on advanced mathematics. But they don't (do you remember from math class how viciously normal people hate doing math?) And it takes a long time to learn uni level math if you cannot study it full time. And most people that learn say calculus don't really do much with it.

This is either god-tier bait or mental retardation.

Algebra is hard for a lot of people. Most people simply follows the rules and do not understand it much. Some even cannot understand the rules. I believe a good understanding of algebra requires having reached a certain developmental stage that many never reach.

Ancient Greece didn’t have bibles m8

Have you considered the alternative hypothesis, which makes less assumptions, that it was dropped because it conflicted with secularism and was generally useless?

Knowledge is not kept away from lower class "plebs" as you say. The "censorship" that you seem to be implying is simply the limitations of anyone's intelligence. The people who are in elite positions never worry about it, because even with the knowledge in plane sight, the unworthy just keep getting it all wrong.
