What are some science forums other than /sci/ you go on? I feel /sci/ is too slow and do not want to ruin it by making threads too often.

Physics forums feels kind of too slow to me too. If you guys don't mind compromising your anonymity (i.e. mobile number) I recommend joining the /sci/ WhatsApp group. It's a bit dead these days, but was still more active than the /sci/ board itself was today for example.

It's okay to make threads, especially if theyre on topic and not schizospam, just don't blow out the catalog.

/r/science mostly has discussions about latest science research. /r/askscience has questions and answers about scientific topics. And there are subreddits for specific fields such as /r/physics, /r/math, /r/biology, etc.
