logic is a subset of philosophy, symbolic logic is a subset of that, set theory is an extension that using ZFC axioms in addition to first order logic’s axioms and the methods of symbolic logic, and then mathematics is an extension of set theory adding in Peano’s axioms.

one could argue that math may start somewhere else, like Euclid did, but the modern view starts with set theory and peano’s axioms

Take it up with the Romans and their Latin-speaking descendants. As much as I respect the euros for their outstanding contributions to mathematics, they will never hold a more based attitude towards mathematics compared to the Greeks.
