It is hard to increase intelligence.
But what about cognition? Can cognition be increased?
I heard there are many interventions for increasing cognition in people with psychiatric illnesses (depression, bipolar disorder), stroke, and so on.

yeah, meditation, deep breathing and centring yourself etc.
I thought my short term memory was destroyed turns out i was just never of late paying enough attention to anything for it to be memorised. like if i was nominally paying attention to something, really my attention was only about 10% on there and the rest spread diffusely around

Make sure you are not magnesium deficient first, and then either drink from a copper cup or use a coin.

you read a thing on here one time and you think you know there could be something to that i might try it, and then a bit later you come on again and see the same thing and you realise it's actually one anon beating a drum because it worked for them i guess but there's not necessarily any kind of general 'growing evidence base' or whatever

Yes, the copper part is my addition, but the thing about magnesium is a widely reported fact and widely known about nootropic users.

I heard playing the piano and running, 20 min runs helps build the connection between the two hemispheres.

It is more effective than mediation, with these two combos.

No matter the age. I am 25 and I feel amazing, I thought I sucked at everything, now I am calm and stay on problems longer. It is not that I feel smarter, rather I am more patient. And enduring. Some calm mellow vibe going on, while I work.

There are loads of scientific evidence showing aerobic training help spur new connection between the hemispheres. And that is needed when creating new solutions, long term, quickly. Also most importantly when your metabolism is fine, with good fat, it helps you work longer, and you feel just fine. Mood and all.

Playing musical instruments puts these demands on the brain, to connect better and so it works, wonders.
